Lemony Fresh!

When people ask me what my favourite food is, I say LEMONS! okay, not really (I say Doritos, mmm), but it is the food I use most.

It may be unpleasant to eat, but lemon can whiten your teeth. Whenever I have water, I always put a slice of lemon in. Takes 5 seconds, and your body will thank you! (It makes drinking 2 litres of watera day a bit less boring too!)

But the best best BEST thing about lemons? Well. I used to have HORRENDOUS red blotchy skin. This was from acne at about 15, and I admit I picked my spots, resulting in red scars that seemed to multiply and refused to be covered by makeup.

It got to the point where I was looking at surgical options.

Now, aged 17, I discovered something amazing.

I rub lemon juice into my skin morning and night and the redness has nearly gone. It’s incredible! So here’s my how to on lemon lightening skin routine.

  1. You don’t have to have fresh lemon for this. You can use the stuff that comes in the bottle, as long as it’s 100% lemon juice!
  2. With clean, makeup free skin, rub lemon juice on to the red blotchy areas of your skin.
  3. Let the lemon sink in around 5 minutes before you moisturise.

I saw results in 3 days, however, if your skin isn’t horrifically scarred like mine, I’d recommend 3-4 days a week.

I use Jiff lemon, it’s so cheap and lasts forever.

 

Lemons truly are a life saver for me! I know my skin isn’t perfect, but it’s only been two weeks, and it very nearly is!
